Chelsea Harbour Offices Website
New Media
Sister-site to the newly developed Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour advertising office space within and around Chelsea Harbour. A minimal design, displaying the blank canvas offices to their full potential and some of the areas new found design focus and luxury lifestyle. The photography and art direction were produced under CiDs guidance and the site is continually updated as spaces become available through Cowan & Rutter and Knight Frank Real Estate Agents.

Predominantly producing cardiology related text books and guides for practicing Cardiologists and Primary Care doctors, CiD provide a one-stop shop for branding, print and web design for CCC. Besides the brand identity, stationery, publications and marketing collateral CiD have created the sub-brand identity 'Cardiorenal Forum' for Heart & Kidney related matters.

British Journal of Cardiology

A rebrand of the British Journal of Cardiology, CiD refocused the journal as the acronym BJC and created a flexible, varied three column grid - introducing more images and information graphics to break-up and enliven the layout and heavy medical text. The BJC is distributed to 15,000 doctors and practitioners in the UK and abroad, six times a year. CiD have created a number of affiliated inserts, supplements and adverts as well as BJC stationery and a new look website is currently in progress.

London 2012
Environmental Graphics
Following the successful 2012 London bid, Cid were commissioned by Lewis & Hickey to create the Environmental Graphics for the London 2012 headquarters in the Docklands. CiD developed their designs following the theme of the successful bid advertising campaign and created 22 separate super graphics which transformed the central core of the building to an upbeat and inspirational environment in which to work. Additional quotations from visionaries such as Nelson Mandela and Seb Coe were included to extend the theme through the entire workspace.

CiD were commission to undertake, the creation and ongoing work on Promonews, a web trade-only application for suppliers and distributors in the promotion gift market. The design is every expanding and delivers a simple user-friendly, online-shopping experience for the trade. Adaptable, succinct and easy XML integration into any distributors site, with helpful user documentation - Promonews has now become the leading trade name in the promotion gift market.

Museum Network

An e-learning initiative encompassing a union of 5 national museums and their education projects for schools and children. CiD created a intertwining star motif of the 5 bands of brand colours of each museum with child-friendly, flash based portals. Email campaigns, leaflets and flyers tailored to the education sector, were created to launch the scheme.

CiD have been responsible for the design and production of the high-end property brochures for Knight Frank International and Country departments for the past two years. In addition we have set the style and design guidance for other designers and printers to follow, enabling the client to improve and unify their brochure tone of voice and to consolidate their position.
Nicholas Haslam

CiD were asked to expand the well known Nicholas Haslam brand to incorporate a new focus towards the Interior Design service under the award winning 'Paolo Moschino'. The new sub-brand is represented by a stylised version of Paolos' own signature. The content managed site was redesigned to incorporate item specifications (furniture, fabrics, lighting, accessories, antiques) print page product sheets, new articles and interior showcases. Nicholas Haslam also commissioned CiD to produce the UK based distribution microsite for their affiliate Belguim Shoes.

Department of Work and Pensions

Working with lead architects Lewis & Hickey over a four-year period, CiD were employed as the brand consultants for the design development and implementation of Jobcentre Plus. CiD rationalised the identity, created and refined brand components and helped to develop the design manual and web site to roll out the design across more than 1000 locations in the UK. Jobcentre Plus remains one of the largest and most successful projects of its kind in the UK.

IDL are a London based Architectural practice involved in a variety of high-end retail/architecture rollouts and international development projects. Cid created the identity as a miniature race track with a range of intricate patterned backgrounds, that elude to the complex range of design solutions and project types that IDL are managing on a daily basis. Case studies have been translated into a partially content managed website with flash brand animations.

Northacre Plc have a reputation for quality restoration of Chelsea residential property. CiD were responsible for the design and conception of the King's hoarding books which won a D&AD pencil in 2001 - the new Lancaster hoarding on the Bayswater road has been designed in a similar vein. Besides hoardings other aspects of the Northacre brand in which CiD have been involved include, their website, microsites, exhibitions and advertising.

The Lakeside Park Hotel

The Lakeside Park Hotel in Wootton, Isle of Wight is the Island's first purpose-built AA 4 star hotel and spa resort offering unrivalled facilities and accommodation for conferences, seminars and business meetings. The Isle of Wight's newest A La Carte Restaurant and Brasserie provide the ultimate hotel dining experience. This luxury 4 star hotel is located in a designated Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, set beside a 20 acre lake and amongst 17 acres of countryside between the towns of Ryde and Newport. Consultants in Design were responsible for interior design of all the public areas and bedroom areas.

Luxury Property developers Glenkerrin UK Ltd appointed Consultants in Design as interior designers for their first major development to be built in the UK. The development of 148 luxury apartments near Canary Wharf in London. Consultants in Design were responsible for the design concept, co-ordination and specifications for the interior elements of the scheme. Consultants in Design were also commissioned to design and deliver the two show flats and the marketing suite.
The Crowne Plaza, Shoreditch
Interiors
Consultants in Design were appointed as interior designers for the rebrand of an existing four star hotel to The Crowne Plaza, Shoreditch. The project involved the redesign and upgrade of 25 of the bedrooms to create new club rooms. The public areas were also redesigned to upgrade the hotel to the new Crowne Plaza standard. As well as design services Consultants in Design were also responsible the procurement for all the FF&E items.

The Team
Simon Scott-Taylor
Managing Director
Simon has worked within the design industry for the last twenty-seven years. He is a member of the D&AD, the founder and the Managing Director of Consultants in Design.
Simon has a broad range of design experience, mainly in the Retail sector and in creating environmental graphic solutions. He has worked alongside Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors and Project Managers on numerous occasions both here and abroad within large agencies such as McColl, Fitch and WPP.
Project experience ranges from large corporate and civic Identity role out programmes to environmental hoardings, way-finding schemes, one off sign solutions and implementation specification manuals - both printed and on-line. Simon is fully versed in all aspects of design, he has carried out large site surveys, compiled reports, specifications and recommendations, created initial concepts and designs, and has supervised the manufacture and installation of major National and International sign projects.
Bharat Kakaiya
New Business Director
Bharat trained as a Graphic Designer and has worked for a number of leading agencies including RMDA in London.
In 1995 Bharat set-up OCK Creative in Clerkenwell. OCK specialising in Branding and New Media for clients in the corporate sector such as PriceWaterhouse, The London Stock Exchange, Credit Suisse and Standard Chartered Bank. OCK won ‘The Property Marketing Award’ for clarity in communication for the 1997 Workspace Group plc Annual Report.
OCK was accredited to Business Link, who introduced to them numerous clients within the SME sector – SME’s gave OCK direct access to the MD’s running the business, and therefore the relationship with these companies was over the long term – creating and building their brand. PSA (Property Search Agency), Searchflow and Fountain Court Chambers were won through Business Link. Bharat joined CiD in 2008 and is responsible for generating New Business, Client Liaison and Project Management.
Duncan Marshall
Creative Director
Duncan is a valued senior member of the team and has contributed in both digital, print and environmental projects. He was instrumental in developing and managing the Job Centre Plus brand for DWP through Lewis Hickey Architects over the last 3 years.
Duncan has been with us since 2004, and is the key designer and custodian for two of our major clients, ‘The British Journal of Cardiology’ and ‘The Wallace Collection’. Duncan has been instrumental in setting up and carrying forward work on their behalf and as a consequence has built a strong client relationship that is vital for their continued success and ongoing relations.
Duncan has worked for a number of agencies in New Zealand and has a good understanding of production and implementation processes.
Mark Fernandes
Lead Developer
Building robust, secure and scalable systems since 1998 specialising in easy to use Content Management Systems. Taking an object oriented approach to all development has meant software is always easy to maintain and enhance as well as being reusable. Most commercial experience has been from the financial sector writing large database driven, mission critical websites and tools for large financial institutions such as Comstock, Reuters, London Stock Exchange and the London Metals Exchange.
A consultant dedicated to producing professional, robust web and application development and support. Mark has been responsible for building CMS systems holding close to 100,000 products with little to no loss of efficiency. He works closely with a number of companies providing technical support and development.
Andrew Bayley
Digital Media
Andrew, cut his teeth as a designer and art-director in some of Cape Towns top digital agencies. He spent the last 5 years as Creative Director of Quirk, Africa’s largest digital agency. Over the years he has worked on a series of critically acclaimed and award winning campaigns for a broad range of clients including BMW, Google, Volvo, Johnny Walker, Barclays and BT.
His work has covered almost all digital channels, and includes work on Facebook applications, viral campaigns, websites and email campaigns. Outside of his agency work, he has both lectured and acted as an industry evangelist, speaking at several top design schools and tertiary institutions.
Andrew heads up the Digital Media department within CiD, offering advice and solutions on a range of projects from conception to completion.
